MARTY AT THE SAN ANDREAS FAULT

Here's a 'WIDE' shot of the 'burb. We were out hunting in the desert town of Indio, near the San Andreas Fault. The fault created the ridge-line in the background. Water seeps up through the fault and sustains a line of green vegetation (grasses, palms, etc...) The rest of the land is sand and scrub. Further west out of the photo are old, now dead, citrus orchards. Surprisingly most of this land is being developed for retirement housing - thanks Del Webb. The quail love the golf courses, but unfortunately we cannot hunt them on the greens. Bummer!
